Known for years simply as the "Stone Wreck" because of her cargo of 25 cords of paving stone, the Indiana was a three masted barkentine which sunk in a storm in 1870.
Two of her masts still remain at the site, one off the starboard bow and the other off the port stern, with s snapped off mast section remaining in place amidships. Not far away is the capstan, and the remains of her cargo of stone.
Sections of rail, a largely in-tact transom, cargo hold entrance, winch and windlass provide a decent amount to keep a diver’s interest.
